The Manistee County Land Bank Authority was created in 2018. Priorities for use of properties include home ownership, affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, and returning properties to productive tax paying status. The Manistee County Land Bank Authority is a member of the Michigan Land Bank Association.


20 Years of Land Banking in Michigan Celebration
The State Land Bank Authority celebrated 20 years of land banking in Michigan in 2024!  On July 5, 2024, the State Land Bank Authority and Manistee County Land Bank Authority held an event to celebrate this milestone.  A presentation was followed by a Dial-a-Ride tour of land bank sites around Manistee.

Meetings

February 2025 through January 2026, the Land Bank Authority will meet at 1:00 pm on the 3rd Monday of the month (except February & January which will be the 3rd Tuesday).  All meetings will be held in the Board of Commissioners' meeting room at the Manistee County Courthouse & Government Center, 415 3rd Street, Manistee, MI 49660.
